Removing a review

It's important that tutors and learners feel free to share an honest assessment of a lesson. That's why Tutred generally keeps reviews in place with just a few, specific exceptions.

Written reviews

Tutred believes feedback is essential to a safe and strong marketplace. That means we allow tutors and learners to share personal experiences of a lesson, and we generally won't remove reviews. This includes reviews related to disagreements about what occurred during a lessons or claims that a review is unfair or untruthful or may impact your standing on Tutred.We'll consider removing lesson reviews only if they:

• are incentivized by a promise for payment, extra services, or a discounted rate
• are motivated by a threat of extortion
• contain personally-identifying information such as addresses, phone numbers, or last names
• include profanity or vulgarity
• reflect booked lessons that didn't take place

Tutor automated reviews

When a tutor cancels a trip, we'll post an automated review on their profile. We'll consider removing automated reviews only if:

• extenuating circumstance caused the cancellation
• student requested the cancellation
• you felt uncomfortable due to harassment, concerns about student behaviour, or student expressing interest in prohibited activity
